Director of LAS Edge and LAS Educational Research
Leysin, Switzerland
Paul Magnuson created and runs a department of research at the high school level at the Leysin American School. He supports teachers as they guide their own professional development through action research, presentations, and publications. He also welcomes more than a dozen visiting scholars to the school annually, from around the world, to enrich the discussion and work collaboratively. His interests include pulling agile into education (see peakchallenges.ch), student and teacher agency, and sharing concrete examples of both agility and agency to support the move to more sensical teaching and learning. He is also an instructor in the masters programs for Endicott College (Massachusetts) and Moreland University (Washington D.C.) and a beginning author of offbeat books for children.
